Drop the tailgate of the truck to the down position. |
Make sure you have all the components needed to set up your tent: the tent,
five tent poles, two awning poles, pegs, guide ropes, and rain fly. |
Unfold the tent in the bed of your truck; make sure the tent door is facing
back of the truck. |
Loosely attach the three straps on each side of the truck by hooking the
middle strap under the wheel well and the outside straps under the truck
body. The sides of the tent should overlap the truck bed. |
Loosely attach the three straps to the tailgate; note that hte male clip
slips behind the bumper and wraps around to meet the female clip over the
tailgate. |
Insert all four outside tent poles while the tent is laying flat. (Note the
gray poles are for the outside and the black pole is for the inside. |
Insert the end of each pole into its corresponding pocket to erect the tent. |
Erect the tailgate pole last by again inserting each end into its pocket as
shown. Once the tent is standing, tighten the straps to ensure a snug fit. |
Open the door and insert the inside center pole by inserting each end into
the pocket, and then positioning the pole in the center of the roof and
securing it with the velcro straps. |
Set up the awning by
placing the tip of each awning pole through the grommets located in the
corners of the awning. Then wrap one end of each guide rope around the tip
and secure the other end to the ground with a peg. Use two guide ropes for
each pole. |
If you wish to omit setting up the awning, roll up the awning and secure it
with the loops on each side. |
When the rain fly is required, drape the fly over the tent and secure the
male clips to the female clips located around the tent. |
